My millinery is wearable art.
Conceptual, completely bespoke, handmade designs change with each new vision. The styles created can be described as avant-garde, edgy, eccentric, whimsical…
Fanciful and freakish materials are what I seek out then reconstruct using freestyle handling, guaranteeing completely unique shapes. Most often I upcycle and constantly experiment with new techniques.
I am a maker not a designer.
Drawing inspiration from many themes, vintage and gothic seem to reoccur. I do not follow convention, I cannot draw and never get round to doing a mood board.
As an emerging milliner (year two of making) I am always looking for new connections so actively pursue collaborations with other artists and designers from all disciplines.
I follow slow-fashion not trends.
Individuality is my most important ethos. People want to discuss the hats I make. Those with commissioned pieces relay back tales of attention received when wearing it.
The art of millinery is in my blood and under my skin. I do not make a living from it. If you are interested in a commission or keen to collaborate on a project, do get in touch.
Genuinely love to hear from you.
